Lower the houselights, bring up the stage lights and focus the spotlight on Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. Now that Romney appears close to a kill on the GOP nomination for President he is getting all the heat. The hottest part of the flame is being built under Romney's job destroying record at Bain Capital.
Romney own cousin, Jon Huntsman even is piling on. Not only is Huntsman slapping around Mittens on his job creating policy, he is pouncing on Romney's service as Ambassador to China in the Obama Administration.
Huntsman had by far the best zinger in this kerfuffle, but the biggest threat to Romney is the attack by Newt Gingrich. I think I would rather have ol' split hoof chasing me than the Newt...although they may be one and the same.
At any rate, Romney is rich, slick and backed by Wall Street. I think you can still safely say he is the front runner for the Republican nomination to oppose Barack Obama for President. Now all Obama has to do is take notes on how Romney's friends attack him, Romney's Republican colleagues are digging up the dirt, Obama is standing by with a wheelbarrow to catch it and pile it on in the Presidential campaign to come.
