Mitt Romney swept through New Hampshire, as we know he would for the last 7 years, as we knew he would do. Mitten failed to get more than 40 percent of the total vote, hardly a overwhelming plurality, even for a native New Englander.
Romney is the very sort of politician that drove me from the Republican party and when I finally woke up, over to the liberal persuasion. Mitt was born on third base and thought he hit a triple...he is a venture capitalist, a money man, a banker...who makes money with money, his own, his inherited money and other peoples money. I'm not jealous, but he represents all those that don't think they should be taxed as much as I am as a middle class wage earner.
What tickles me is we now have a new pejorative to throw at Mitt; "Vulture Capitalist". That sounds awful doesn't it? What really drew my anger last night was Romney condescending "victory" speech.
He talked down to the President of the United States! It was just like a pompous CEO chewing out the new hire in the company's mail room. Any talk like this in the last administration would be called unpatriotic. I am here to tell you right now, it was unpatriotic and Mitt should be ashamed. As Mother Jones' political editor David Corn writes, "In the Granite State, Romney put in two strong debate performances. Showing discipline on the campaign trail, he stuck to his simple, jingoistic message—Obama is a foe of American values and free enterprise and wants to turn the US of A into (oh-god-no!) Europe—even when it didn't quite make sense. (In his victory speech on Tuesday night, he thrice used the word "Europe" and only once uttered "jobs.")" Here is the link to the excellent article.
While listening to these Republican speeches, as my gift to you, I'm providing a translation code, here is something you can follow to tell what they are really saying to us:
Good luck with all this and
Peace,
