Let us start with the political satire of one Pat Bagley, Editorial Cartoonist extraordinaire of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Fox "Facts"
Now for the deconstruction: (The word fact will be played with in a fast and loose fashion in this edition.)
Fox Fact 1. "Illegals are overrunning America"
Truth: The number of illegal aliens in the US under Obama is down.
Fox Fact 2: "Obama is taxing us to death."
Truth: Taxes are lower under Obama than Republican hero President Reagan.
Fox Fact 3: "America is broke."
Truth: America is very wealthy.
Fox Fact 4: "We have the best health care in the World."
Truth: Pssst! We are ranked 37th in the World behind countries like Norway and Chile.
Fox Fact 5: "Lazy, poor people are the cause of our bad economy."
Truth: Wall Street and the Uber-rich caused the recession.
Fox Fact 6: "Cartoonist Pat Bagley is Socialist."
Truth: Fox News Chief, Roger Ailes is a former Republican Media Strategist.

Carpal Edition
*Disclaimer:
Hello again, it's been a while since I've bugged you. I recently had carpal tunnel surgery and really haven't felt much like typing. I don't recommend you get carpal tunnel surgery unless you lose your grip strength to the point of not being able to hold a cup of coffee. I'm typing this as I hold my big mug of coffee, so yay, it worked...and no pain.
A lot has happened in the world of politics lately, hasn't it? Possibly the biggest event was when Rick Santorum dropped from the Presidential race. Personally, I'm glad this little moral Nazi is out of the picture. He forced Mitt Romney's political tone so far right it nearly tore Romney in half. I think our political weeding out process is actually working in the fact it has given us two candidates who are actually fairly close to the center of most American's values and beliefs. Luckily we aren't talking about a Republican candidate who is borderline crazy, I mean, really; Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry or Newt Gingrich???
Romney survived the push back for the Evangelical Right, who downright hate him, and he and his war chest of money outlasted the very odd little Rick Santorum, whom I sure believes every sperm is sacred.
The latest "non" controversy has been over some bone headed remarks by a Democratic Strategist who was trying to make a point about Mitt Romney's wife, Ann, being a poor spokesmen for working women...and managed to imply that raising children is not really a "job". Those of us who have seen mom's in action know that is all falls under the heading of bullshit, and I'm happy to say that President Obama and all his top people jumped on this and disavowed Hillary Rosen's less than thoughtful comment.
So in conclusion, I'm back to work, I have two nice pretty scars healing up, I'm still sore, but I feel well enough to bug you again on my blog.
Peace,
@mike57buck
